Terms of Service
Terms, in plain language
These terms govern your use of Child Web Guard (the extension, dashboard, and desktop agent). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. Last updated: 22 August 2026.
1. The service
Child Web Guard is a parental control tool: a Windows desktop service with optional AI content classification, a browser extension for Chrome/Edge (installed and kept in place by the service), and a web dashboard. It is designed to assist parents — it is an aid, not a guarantee of supervision.
2. No filtering guarantee
Content filtering is best-effort. AI can misjudge pages, new sites appear constantly, and no filter is complete. You remain responsible for supervising your children. The service is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind.
3. Plans and billing
The Free plan includes 100 AI classifications per month. The Monthly plan ($2.99/month) includes unlimited classifications. Payments and subscriptions are handled by Stripe; you can cancel anytime from the billing portal, and your account reverts to Free at the end of the billing period. Prices may change with notice; existing terms run to the end of the current period.
4. Acceptable use
Use the service only for its intended purpose: managing web safety for children in your care. Do not attempt to bypass quota, abuse the API, reverse-engineer paid features, or resell access.
5. Your content and rules
Your settings and custom rules remain yours. You can export or delete them at any time; deleting your account removes your stored settings (see the privacy policy).
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Child Web Guard is not liable for any damages arising from use of the service, including content that was incorrectly allowed or blocked, or service interruptions.
7. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on this site. Questions: support@child-web-guard.com.
